Rita Balanka, Pie Magician, Mom-Trepeneur

Starting at the age of 16 Rita was drawn to the tart pan. Along with the help of her mom Lilly they started creating pie crust filled with mousse. She put together different flavor combinations to create her creamy melt in your mouth pies. Her best critics at the time were her family and classmates.

Rita’s pies was officially established in 2005. Out of high school working in her kitchen her advertisement was word of mouth and the image magazine. From there she grew! Developing new flavors each year from Peanut Butter to S’mores, Oreo to Fluffernutter, Banana to Cake Batter, Triple Chocolate to Pistachio, Lotus to Brownie Brittle. The flavors are endless!!
